Over the years Jessica Russell has created a wide range of ceramic pieces - everything from lamp parts, to figurative sculptures, to the standard coffee mug. So don't hesitate to reach out with any inquiries!

When you email us your commission request for ceramic work, please write ‘Commission Request - Ceramics’ in the subject line and include a description of your request. Please be as specific as possible when including dimensions, quantity, color, intended use (dinerware, interior/exterior decoration, etc.) and timeframe you would like the project done by.

If you are requesting small items, sets are preferred. It is more efficient to make multiples, especially if a custom glaze color is requested. You can always get a set of 4 and gift two to a friend! Just an idea :)

Please note: Custom work takes time. Most of the commissions that are turned down are due to a time frame that is too short. Most commissions will take at minimum one month's time.

Slip casting and press molding is a common practice among ceramic artists who like to spend a lot of time perfecting a design to produce multiples of the same form. This is often done through creating plaster molds. In this process, you make numerous castings using a more liquid form of clay called casting slip.

Any time Jessica makes a new ceramic piece, the thought of ‘Should I turn this into a plaster mold’ always comes to her mind. If you are a ceramic artist or designer and want to streamline your production, Jessica would love to make plaster molds for you! She highly enjoys everything about this process, so please reach out with any ideas.

Please be as specific as possible when including dimensions, quantity, shape, intended use (dinnerware, interior/exterior decoration, etc.) and timeframe you would like the project done by. Sketches or renderings are welcomed.

Please note: This process can be time consuming, especially if the original form has to be hand sculpted. Plaster mold production will at minimum take 2 month's time.
